The Voice and Swallowing Laboratory provides a full array of services to meet the needs of individuals experiencing voice and swallowing difficulties. Our busy Voice Laboratory offers comprehensive evaluations to patients from the US, Latin America and the Caribbean and includes a multi-disciplinary team of specialists including Laryngology, Speech-Language Pathology, and other specialists like singing teachers, neurology, pulmonology, as needed.
Individuals with voice complaints undergo a comprehensive evaluation by the team and recommendations are given at the time of visit. In fact, many entertainment personalities are among the patients who have received consultation to help diagnose and treat a variety of vocal problems such as hoarseness, spasms and paralysis. By using the latest technology, our specialists can study the vocal folds in slow motion and evaluate important acoustical properties as well as aerodynamic measures of the voice. Additionally, state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques are available for a variety of swallowing disorders.
